It's Master Blaster's Birthday

Today is 24th April 2020 the birth anniversary of 'God of Cricket' Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. I am huge cricket fan. I come from the generation which had the privilege to watch great players from Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Rahul Dravid, Shane Warne, to Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers.

What makes Sachin stand out from all these legends is his approach towards the game.
Harsha Bhogle put it the best: "Sachin was the master of the game, but behaved like the servant of the game." What I feel is that he always put the team ahead of personal milestones, but there are many people who don't believe this.
Everybody those who love cricket are all familiar with his entire journey of becoming a legend of the game so I am not going to repeat the same things again but what makes me think about his entire struggle is that he never gave up at any point in his life. Even in tough times he fought his way out.
I always remember his innings On April 22 1998 in SharjahSachin conjured 'Desert Storm' an innings which swept off the mighty Aussies off their feet. His innings of 143 against the likes of Shane Warne, Demien Fleming was just memorable for all cricket fans from round the globe.
With 200 Test matches, 100 centuries and 34, 357 runs Master Blaster bid adieu to the game. He was one player for whom the entire nation cried during his post match speech on the day of his retirement.
It's been seven years now since his retirement but the chant 'Sachin Sachin' still echoes in Wankhede
